We wanted to be a little bit responsible, so we sent letters out to over 80 businesses on and nearby the march route. We want them to be aware of our plans and give them the opportunity to participate or show support if they choose. Every bit of excitement and involvement helps!
During our volunteer meeting last night we collated, folded, stuffed & stamped these letters to head out early this morning. They got the same Pluto Discovered and Star Trek stamps as the legislators did. It rained for much of the day, but that didn’t stop the trusty postman from picking them up. A copy of the letter is available for you to read, as well as other signs you can download and post as you please.
We hope businesses are as excited about our mission and the crowd as we are. Please note the businesses that show us support, so we can return that support whenever possible. It’s important to build lasting community ties for future marches and to succeed in our mission to reach out for support from all facets of the community.
