Organizer Eric Wells was out and about on this historic day, and ran into a March For Science flyer without having any idea it might be there.
“Well I hadn’t been out much, it’s been a lonely time working in my office, making calls, so my wife and I decided to get some lunch at one of our favorite Italian spots. I didn’t even notice the flyer as I walked into the cafe. We ate our whole lunch, paid and walked back out. As I was closing the door I saw it! I had spent so much time behind a computer and coordinating with people over the phone, I really had no idea how far of a reach we would have in the community. When I saw that flyer I knew that excitement and momentum for the Springfield March For Science is beginning to build. It’s made this work worth it.”
Thank you again to all of the volunteers who have helped spread the word. This is the most helpful thing you can do to ensure our success.
