We extended an invitation to our governor, in hopes that he would recognize or better yet participate in supporting science. Governor Greitens declined, citing previous commitments. While we are disappointed, he will be getting one of our banners that carry the signatures of concerned citizens. After the devastating budget cuts he has proposed to education, our message to him is more important than ever.
Previous engagements happen to everyone, especially someone as busy as a state governor. However, we hope to see science treated as a priority in Missouri, so please make sure to sign the banner and let him know how you feel.
